    Hi,

So I tuned in the 24 BBC Olympic HD Channels last nite on my STB and wanted to save them in favourites but I failed miserably. (BTW Ive had this box for a few years and never got around to actually saving channels in to favourites). So can one add channels to favourites in non-free sat mode please?

Whilst Im at it, I noticed that my software is pretty old:

    Software Version HPRSF4 1.00.12
    Loader Version U7.53
    Last update 26/11/09

So can anyone tell me how out-of-date is my software and how do I go about updating it and from where please?

    Regards

    Iba

It says here that those channels are on the Freesat EPG: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=79906528&postcount=2

    Hi

I think they re talking about receiving them on a SKY box there.

I manually tune in my sats on the humax - I dont use free sat (I think freesat on the humax is for use in the uk) - I manually tune into Astra 28.

    Regards

The Humax receiver doesn't know where you live, beyond the UK postcode you gave it.

If it's part of your multisat setup, make sure it's connected to 28 east overnight for 'housekeeping' purposes. There's no need to manually tune Freesat channels, automatic retunes are one of its main selling points.

Depends on what region of BBC and ITV you want.
If you want BBC 1 NI at 101 use BT27 5LZ as your postcode, it puts UTV at 103, but no ITV HD at 119, for that you will need a GB postcode, i.e. W1A 1AA will get you BBC 1 London, ITV London and ITV 1 HD at 119.
Choice is yours, UTV HD will most likely appear automatically at 119 after aso in October.
Been using mine for nearly three years with the NI postcode.

    Hi Peter Rhea,

I never gave it a postcode; I skipped that part and went straight to maual tune (by pressing the red, green, yellow, blue, red, green & yellow buttons in order). And yes it is part of my multi set up and I pick up my four sats on it using the diseqc switch options.

So, if I understand correctly, I should input a postcode (which postcode), and do a freesat scan for Astra 28 and leave the other 3 sats (13, 19 & 26) as is?

And then Ill be able to get automatic updates OTA and be able to put channels from Astra 28 into my favourites?

    Thanks

    Iba

You can put what ever region of BBC 1 or BBC 2 you wish at positions 101/102 independent of what postcode you input at set up by going to:

Menu> Edit Channels > Edit Customisable Channels

    Hi Evilivor,

And is there a way to put non-free sat channels into favourites - I also have sats 26, 19 and 13 feeding into it?

    Regards

I'm afraid I have no idea Iba - I am unfamiliar with multi sat set up.

What I would suggest is that you tune in the Freesat channels in Freesat mode - as per the menu and use it for the channels you get on Freesat, with it's full 8 day EPG and Favourites for those channels, and just switch over to non-Freesat mode to continue to use it as you have been doing all along with those other sats.

After you have done in the Freesat tune you will then be able to update the software too.

    Try non-Freesat mode?

    Thanks Ronnie,

After reading 100s of web pages today, I found the answer.

U have to press Menu, then Settings and then u can switch STB mode.

I was expecting there just to be a button on the remote that would switch between the 2.

    Regards

    Iba

here, iba, you should update your HDR, again, an overnight update will have knocked out your Raydon software, so here is the new one.
