    Hi

Are there any kids rugby clubs (for 11 year olds) in the Dublin area which train/play on Saturdays? All the options I can find are Sunday morning and we are booked already with other sports for that slot!

    Any help appreciated!

    Thanks

I think schools train on saturdays, clubs on Sundays.

I think you are better off checking with the local schools in your area.

For example, I live in Rathmines, and I see young kids training on Saturday mornings in St Marys College on Lower Rathmines Road.

Schools don't usually allow kids to join unless they are attending the school. The school's insurance doesn't cover it.

Yes, that's the problem - the school doesn't do it (I doubt many national schools do), and Sunday is taken up with Soccer and Hockey as it is......

    Very frustrating.

i think st brigids, out by cornelscourt, train on saturdays. its a mini rugby club based out of the local school and they train on a pitch right beside dunnes in cornelscourt.

Unless you set up your own club... Or ditch the other sports :-)

Sometimes the times sports start at are different. So rugby might be 12.00. Soccer 10.00. Or whatever... GAA is more summer. Rugby is more Oct - April.
