    Hi there,
Found something out yesterday and thought I'd pass it on here as you would have a good idea of the level of effort that this would take.

I was in the GYM yesterday and got talking to one of the trainers in there. Got a few new workout ideas and then the conversation turned to long distance running and then this guy eluded to the fact that he and 3 others (i think) are doing a sponsored run. Not a 10k mind you... its Galway Bay to Bray! - That's gotta be around the 50miles a day range, 3 days in a row. That's got to be up there!

They are trying to breakdown the stigma of mental health issues. This hit home to me as very recently a friend told me how most of his family suffer with depression (these guys have it alllll going for them so it was a surprise). My dad has it, loads of other friends, it's literally everywhere.

One element that we didn't talk about was how exercise can really help with dealing with depression. Maybe that could happen here.

Thought I'd put up a post here and maybe a few of you will have a read.

I know two of the lads doing this. I've been trying to get one of them to set up a training log here to see what sort of miles they're doing in prep for this:eek:

Last update was a half an hour ago which was 26km from Maynooth.
Phenomenal effort they are putting in and a fantastic achievement when they finish it tomorrow.

Unfortunately one of the guys doings this had to pull out because of injury just before the last day. It must be heart breaking to have to stop so close to the finish but its still an amazing achievement to ruo as far as he did. Theyre on the home stretch now anyway, best of luck to the rest of them.
