Honda Accord Weird Problem

    Hi there,

I bought a 05 Honda Accord 2.0 Sport last week, but ive noticed theres a weird beeping noise that happens intermittently while driving and while the car is off (no keys in ignition).

Its almost sounds like a phone noise, but its only 1/4 of second long. Sometimes I could get 3 in a row while driving, and other times, it could take hours between them!

Internet has shown up nothing. There are also no lights on the car dash, and it drives perfectly otherwise.

Theres an old nokia car kit installed ( i plan on removing as soon as i figur eout how), im half wondering if it could be that.

    Anyone any ideas?

    Thanks

    Neil

Its most likely the nokia car kit looking for a device to connect to. If you have bluetooth on your phone just search for the device under connectivity. If its a nokia kit then the default password for pairing should be 0000. They work with all phone makes usually. Hope that helps!

Assuming it's the carkit (first place I'd start)
If it's doing it with the car off and no keys in the ignition, then some chancer/gimp has wired it up wrong.
The leads should plug out of the back of the control box (wherever that's hidden - passenger footwell, behind glovebox, up under dash?).
Try that for a few days - at least you'll know whether it needs to be ripped out totally or just wired properly.

Thanks a million lads. Ill try disconnecting it. The only thing is its not a bluetooth one, its one of them nokia cradle things where it actually charges.

But i will try removing it thanks.

OK, could just be a failing unit so, but bluetooth or not it really shouldn't be "live" until keys are turned in the ignition.
It will still have a control box hidden away somewhere. If the noise doesn't reoccur once you've unplugged the power cable from the control box then it's the carkit is the problem.
