Rain Gear?

    Hi all,

I'm about to start commuting by bike in the next week and would like a few suggestions on what kind of rain/wind/cold gear I might need, i.e, jacket/trousers/. My budget is not huge (under €100 total) and a few suggestions would really help. My commute will be 20k round trip on a hybrid.

The only difference is that it's an electric bike, so I assume I'll be colder than the average cyclist because I'll be putting in less effort at the same speed.

Any good ideas? I've looked through the forum but specific recommendations have been a bit expensive tbh.

I think this is a case of getting what you pay for.

However, the fact that the bike is electrically powered will help - on the one hand you won't be putting out a lot of energy to keep warm, but it also means you won't be sweating it up that much from the inside either.

I like Endura kit for commuting in - it's hard wearing and generally does a good job.

A pair of their Gridlock overtrousers along with an Altura Jacket comes in at just over your budget.

you might also want to consider some overshoes / gaiters to protect your feet and a pair of water and windproof gloves.
