    Hey all,
I don't know if this is the right place to post something like this..but just wondering if people have experienced this?

I had been having bad chest back and headache pains for a week (this had happened a month or two ago but had gone away) anyway i went to the doctor and they sent me for an xray and found a lump that is being described as a significant hilar mass. They didn't give me too much detail except that it is probably nothing and want me to go for a CT in a week or so.

I have been googling hilar mass....and what I found doesn't sound too good, is finding lumps in the body/ chest like this common enough without it being cancer?

I am now playing the waiting game until my scan, just really worried..anyone have a similar experience to this?

I am sorry but as per site rules we cannot give any medical advice here.
As you have found out the net will give alot of contradictory information - please make an appointment with your GP or specialist and ask them to talk you through what this means. Make a list of your questions and concerns so that you make sure you get all of the answers you are looking for here.
