Due to some plumbing issues I needed to fit shower drains in a wet room with a 3inch water seal trap. There is siphoning happening & a smaller drain my empty quickly . Will need to run tiling up to the drain & get a good seal around it

Are there any recommended brand or suppliers out there? Anything else I need to look out for?

    Something like this?

Why are you getting siophoning? It sounds like you have a big drop Can you not access the wetroom underneath say downstairs?

Siphoning due to lack of vents on the stacks which I will reduce a bit by putting in some durgo valves...long story

That would do the trick. The aco drains only come with 50mm seals so thats not enough. Are there any other suppliers out there?

MacAlpine is about the best for range. The durgo valves will let you shorten the stacks alright.

Is there any quality or lifespan difference between the once with steel bodies ( not covers) versus the ones with plastic bodies?

Nothing worth talking about besides the obvious.
