Carrick on Shannon. It seems to have no other industry than catering for Hens and Stags. Perfect for it: ye won't be the only ones dressed like numpties and the bars and clubs are all happy to cater for such groups.

I went to my sisters hen weekend three years ago in Kinsale. Beautiful restaurants (not sure of name, but beautiful restaurant on opposite side of bay up a steep hill looking back over the bay!)
We did an action day where we did an assault course, some fun games, and sea kayaking after. We had miserable weather for the day, but all 12 girls continued on with no fear of getting wet, and it was one of the funniest days of my life before a brilliant night out again. Not sure of the activity centre name, but should come up easily with search.

Great weekend to be had there.

    Enjoy :)

Have a look at henparty.ie, they have packages for a hen party. They have loads of ideas for games etc. I found it helpful.

cheers all. My sister had hers in Carrick on Shannon so was trying to see if there was anywhere else?
I heard Athlone is supposed to be good?
Wouldn't be too much into the water sports.

Was at a good stag in Carlingford in Louth recently. There's an outdoor pursuits centre with laser tag (paintball without the pain but that's half the fun in my mind), high ropes, and loads of other stuff, plenty of restaurants and good pubs and, again, loads of other stags and hens there.

For a quieter dress up you can get some lovely spa deals with accommodation at places like Johnstown, Woodlands Fitzpatricks and Coolbawn Quay. You can ask to use the cottages as well instead of hotel rooms, it's more social that way.
