Do Aer Lingus issue tickets?

    Sorry if this is a silly question, but do I need plane tickets to fly with Aer Lingus, or is it the same as Ryanair, where you just check in online and print off your boarding passes? I assumed it was the same as Ryanair but I'm flying with Aer Lingus next week and my mother's a bit worried that I should have received tickets. Can't really find anything on the website to clear it up either.
