NFL Tickets Thread

Thought it would be useful [for me anyway] to share information on how to go about getting tickets for NFL games.

I am planning to go to Dolphins @ Jets on Week 8. I was at a Giants - Jags game in Meadowlands in 2010 and picked up tickets in the carpark for face value (2 for $100 in the nosebleeds) so my intention is to do the same again.

The official Jets site lists face value as $50 for the upper tier, however the official NFL exchange prices start at $95, which I am probably not willing to pay (giving them the benefit of the doubt, it may be that cheaper tickets just haven't yet become available as it's a while away yet). Anyone else got any official or unofficial sources of tickets? Not sure what the charter says about putting up links to unofficial touting sites so I won't, but in any case I don't think I'll be using any such sites…

If you dont get the ticket at face value in the general sale $95 is good. NFL tickets are always overpriced even on the exchange or ticket websites. As the majority of NFL stadiums have over 90% season ticket holders in their stadiums the general sale is limited hence where the tout websites and exchange come in. Up until a few years ago the exchange didn't exist and has by far the best priced tickets. Stubhub and all of those can't compete with the exchange for the most part. There other threads on tickets:

I'm going to be in Philly for week 2 clash with Baltimore, trying to find tickets but it is sold out. Needing to use tout/re-seller websites.
Has anyone experience of using these? Particularly ones that allow you to print tickets at home? Are these safe?

Anybody been to the Linc? Any do's or don'ts?
Stadium tour available on Saturdays, is it worth doing?

Take a look at Stubhub. Its legit and a lot of people on here have recommended it. You can download and print the tickets after purchase in many cases.

Most of the teams use Ticketmaster Ticket exchange also. Similar to stubhub but sometimes a lot cheaper

Ticket Exchange looks great but it seems to be for US residents only :(
    Has anyone successfully used it?

I have in 2010. It was open to all back then. Having said that I haven't used it since.

Edit: see what you mean the whole system has changed. Thats mad.

I have sent them an email and will let ye know what they say.

In case they can do nothing for me, how have you found the other sites like StubHub? Any chance of the tickets not arriving? is printing your own tickets guaranteed safe?

I have used Stubhub a fair few times and always gotten my tickets and the 2 times I printed they were bang on.

    Have you bought?

I will also be at this game.

Ticket Exchange say they have no international restrictions even though I must enter a state and zip code (and no space to enter a country).

I am going to try get someone in the states to buy the tickets instead.

I used Ticketmaster Exchange for Redskins tickets last week and found it great. The ticket was emailed to me immediately.

It was a $99 ticket but was on sale for $132 but the Redskins don't sell single game tickets so I took it. Ticketmaster then charged me $19.99 and another $4.95 for mailing (even though it was emailed!) so it costs to use them but is still probably the best way to get tickets.

I tried using Stubhub a few years back but at that time it would only take credit cards from a limited no of countries of which Ireland wasn't one so I couldn't use them in the end. Is that still the case?
