    Hi Folks

Super excited about our first family holiday to Disney Land Paris. I've heard so many mixed reviews. If anyone has any advice it would be great. There will be four of us travelling, the kids are 4 and 20 month. We are going next Monday and staying in the Newport Bay? My partner was there as a child but cant remember much. I was checking some online reviews some are terrible but i would rather be prepared lol Easy way to find buses or best w to get to hotels? Opening times etc? Its ading for website but i'd rather personal experiences ;)

    Thanks for your help
    Denise

You'll have a fab time ! my kids are 13 and 15 so its Disney in Florida for us for the last few years, but we have been to paris on a few occasions and we have stayed in the Newport Bay Club, the Davy Crockett ranch and the Disneyland hotel, all 3 were great. You are always going to get moaners and if you pressed me to make one complaint, that was at breakfast time in the Newport, its was totally chaotic, but it could have well improved over the last few years. It is possible for you to walk from the Newport to the park (7-10 min walk), but the little ones would need to be in a buggy just to save their little legs (when we were last there Disney rented buggy's out).

Our last stay was in the Disneyland Hotel (wow !), now I'm not sure if they still do it, but at 11am each morning, some of the Disney Characters came down the grand staircase and spent time getting pictures done with the kids etc, and it was much less stress meeting the characters there than in the park, now I know we were staying in the actual hotel, but I'm sure you could possibly just wander in........!

So, forget the moaners and enjoy every minute of it ! no holiday for us this year as we are heading to florida next June........we still have a soft spot for Mickey !

I was there in December, stayed in the Santa Fe and there was a free shuttle bus all day going from hotel to Disney.

Been there 3 times. Its pretty fun alright, but just be prepared to queue....for hours.

Dont miss the universal studios park, which is off to the left just before you enter into the main Disney park. You should be able to enter it no problem with your ticket.

hiring a buggy for the 4 year old is a good idea, the park is huge to a 4 year old's legs ! plus you dont really want to get the bus from the Newport to the parks, it will be jammed packed. When you get to the hotel, look out the back where you will see a man made lake, with the Newyork Hotel in the distance, all you have to do is to walk down to the New York, take a left and you are in the Disney Village, walk though Disney Village (approx 200 metres) and you will be at the entrance to the park.

Also, dont forget to take advantage of the Early opening for guests staying on site. If the little ones are up early, just head down, I think it opens at 8am for onsite guests and 10am for the general public. You can always pack their favourite cereal in your bags, along with two plastic bowls & spoons and just buy a carton on milk in any of the restaurants within the park and they can have their breakfast. If you havent done so already acquint yourself with the map of the park so you can earmark which rides you really really want to do and try and get those done early plus dont forget about the fast passes......
