Samsung Smart TV - Crackling audio with HDMI.

    Hi,

    I just bought a Samsung Smart TV at the weekend but there seems to be a problem with the sound when using the HDMI input.

    Sound works fine for SCART input but when I connect a HDMI device the audio crackles and small little white specs appear on the screen.

    It a SageTV HD300 box and I have tried selecting different audio outputs on it to no avail. I'm not too familiar with the Samsung yet but just checking is there a setting for audio in there too that I should check?

    I have a feeling that there is a problem with the HDMI bus or something. How do I troubleshoot this and know for sure before I return it.

    Going to try my laptop on it now and see what happens.

    Try a different HDMI cable perhaps?
