Any suggestions for a good destination for a long (fri to Mon) weekend to do a bit of mountain biking? (With some sun!)
Out of Cork (Kerry or Shannon) preferably. Nice I guess is a option, although more road biking down there than off road.

Isn't there one of the Canary Islands, the one with the high volcano, that has got good reviews, dunno which island though.

Or there's the ski resorts where you get the gondola up and freeride down. I'd go for that. Again, sorry I don't have and names for you.

Get the ferry to Wales, loads of good mountain bike parks and the weather is not bad either...

Chamonix in France. If you fly into Geneva the transfer is only about 1.5 hrs. Amazing scenary, great food and some of the best mountain biking trails around. Take a look at http://www.chamonix.net/files/Mountainbiking/planVTTEn.pdf
