Does anybody have information on Aras Ui Thuama .
I just read that the accommodation there is 500 euros and you just have to do an Irish interview .
I will be starting first year in September in a science related course .
Can I apply to sit the interview being a student not studying Irish in college ?
Or do I have the concept of Aras Ui Thuama , completely misunderstood ?

It's not €500, it's that you can get a grant or reduction of €500 on your rent for the year. So Aras Uí Thuama is €500 cheaper than the rest of University Hall.

You can apply if you're not a student of Irish, doesn't matter what you study. Keep in mind though that even with a reduction of €500, Uni Hall won't be the cheapest option.
