So now that the 3 main comic book movies of the summer have been released which one has been your favourite? I think Avengers was mine just for sheer fun and spectacle and seeing all of the heroes on screen together. Kept me more entertained compared to TDKR which was a close second. So what does everyone think? :D

I have taken to using the following analogy:

The Dark Knight Rises is a rough but shiny gemstone you find in a pile of sand.
The Avengers is an uninspiring yet harmless rock found in the same pile.
The Amazing Spiderman is the **** I scrape off my shoes after standing in something unpleasant.

Avengers was the most fun, TDKR was flawed but great, AMS was interesting to a point but felt like a lot of it was edited and it suffered as a result, I liked a lot of it it was just all so formulaic.

Avengers by quite a bit, i liked the other 2 but avengers was just such an entertaining film, not to take anything away from the other 2, TDKR was a great conclusion to probably one of the best trilogy's of all time, spider-man while not that impressive due to them using an origin storyline only a decade after it was done, sets us up nicely for what could be an impressive sequel,

its just the avengers was a film that made me want to go see it a few times, it wasn't bogged down in origins, it wasn't overinflated with loads of unnecessary dialogue sequences, it was just pure entertainment all the leg work was done in the origin stories, and it had very likeable cast of characters, even loki was a likeable guy, mad a hatter and a bit of a drama queen but he was likeable:D

Amazing Spider-man for me. Followed by Avengers and then Dark Knight Rises. I enjoyed all three for different reasons.

that was my biggest problem with the film, whoever edited it did a terrible job, i thought the films pacing was terrible,

I enjoyed The Avengers and The Amazing Spider-Man, the former far more so than latter, but TDKR is on another level entirely. When I look at The Avengers and TASM I just see the same old thing that Raimi and Singer did a lot better and with a lot more heart ten years ago. With TDK and now TDKR, Nolan has raised the game not just for comic book movies but for blockbusters in general. Prometheus in all its flawed glory was the only other recent summer blockbuster that has really tried to follow Nolan's lead, though hopefully not the last.
