Permanent TSB email phishing

    Just received this today. I receive scams like this all the time, but this is the first I've received for an Irish bank. The 'Review your account' link points to an Italian domain (www.distribuzione-informatica.it). You'd think they'd at least make some effort to at least use an Irish domain! :rolleyes:

    ACCOUNT REVIEW NOTIFICATION

    YOUR ACCOUNT HAS BEEN FLAGGED AS ONE OF THE
    NUMEROUS ACCOUNTS THAT NEEDS TO BE REVIEWED.
    The main reason for this action are

    .ie domains are notoriously difficult to get. Trust me I used to be a hostmaster. They maybe thought a .it was close enough and would fool some people, which it probably did. I remember I had a maths teacher in secondary school who was supposed to be computer savvy once explain that "if it has .ie at the end then it means its an email". :rolleyes:

    I frequently get this one but it never gets opened so I've never found out where it links to. That's what the delete button's for.

    Yes.. but I didn't hack any website, I was just hiding my IP address, so I'm fine.. thanks.

    If I was a hacker, I would use Tor but unfortunately I'm not
