I am looking to get some self heating meals for a 2-3 day trip. Can anyone recommend a shop (or website) in Dublin with a decent selection and reasonable prices?

Hey ye, most of the outdoor shops carry them but none fall into the good value space With most typically being around €6, great outdoors 53 degrees north and snow & rock all carry various options ( S&R have the best brand in terms of taste, Mountain house)

A good cheap option is heading to tesco or Aldi, pick up cous cous sachet for 90c various flavours, all they need is hot water and leave for 5 mins and they are filling, just watch out as they are low on carbs so buy some meat like chorizo to put in to boost the cals particularly on hikes. You can supplement with dried soups and noodles too. bars are good too, particularly flapjacks

Don't forget there's plenty of wild edibles out there at this time of year, worth doing a search for info,

that place in abbey street across from the scientologists has food as indeed does the scout shop.

Thanks for the suggestions. It looks like 53 Degrees North have a decent range of stuff, and they are relatively convenient for me. So unless I make it to Snow and Rock anytime soon I think that will be the winner.
