That was the Leinster 3 day. Pretty sure it's on tomorrow, I'll go if it's not raining...

Well done to anyone who didn't turn up. I'm still coughing up track water.

It was short and brutal. I made a rather optimistic attempt to hold Damien Shaw's wheel as he came through the A3s. My awful cornering (not to mention lack of power) did for me but the short period that I did survive dragged me and two others away from the A3 bunch. One of the lads from Lucan rode really well to stay with him most of the way and took second. I rode with the other guy (one of the Epic MTB heads) for a few laps but he dropped me going onto the last lap. He stayed away to take third - I came in with the small group behind and got 10th or so.

Happy with the night's work - flat and technical doesn't suit me at all so I was pleased to be holding my own with some very good riders.

Fair play for braving that track in that weather! That track is oily enough with all the motor racing that goes on there, rain turns it into an ice rink!

not so,rode it last week in the wet it was not any more slippy than any other road in the wet probably safer as their was nothing coming the other way

That's good to know killalanerr. Avoided going last night 'cos colm_gti said it was lethal in the wet. :D

Hoping to give it a go on the 7th.

Must have been more to do with the 5000km old cheapo tyres that were on my bike then...aided by my lack of confidence in the wet at speed...

Didn't find it particularly slippy - it was more that I was particularly crap at picking the right line and speed.
