You need to get the diameter and width of the tyre.

A road bike will usually be 700x23. Tubes tend to cover several widths so a 700x19-25 will be suitable for any 700 tyre between 19 and 25mm wide.

I presume it's the same logic for a child's bike.

The kids bike tyre will quite likely be in inches so 26x1.9 or 24x1.5 or whatever.

Also, when it comes to the racer tyres, 700c is the same as 622mm.

If it's a really old racer it might be 27 1/4 inch rims, you probably won't get tubes in that size in tesco.

the kids is a 26*1.95 -i got mixed up on that for some reason and ended not getting it

    the racer is a 700*25c -i got a 700*23*32c which i think is correct:confused:

    27 1 1/4 tubes are interchangeable with 700c tubes

some tubes have 622/630 printed on them, even if they dont its still 100% safe to use 700c tubes for 27 1 1/4 wheels

    27 1 1/4 =32mm 700c tube
    27 1 1/8 =28mm 700c tube
