    Hi,
I am currently on The Broadband Home Plus package with up to 3MB Broadband and 30GB Monthly Limit. I have recently signed up for Netflix and have seen my Broadband usage increasing alarmingly.
Just wondering what are the charges if I go over my 30GB limit in a month?
And also is it possible to buy extra broadband credit per month?

    Ta,

    Ta,

    Hi moz,

Bit of good news for you here. Although the allowance has always been stated on the bill at 30gb, we don't currently enforce this on the 'standard' broadband setup. Only Next Generation Broadband packages have the allowance enforced on the bill. The reason we don't uphold the charges on a non-NGB account is that the equivalent package on NGB (NGB Regular) is unlimited so we don't penalise customers who have not yet gotten the free upgrade. The only thing you need to worry about here is the fair usage policy, which is 250gb per month and even if you did exceed this eircom would send you a letter advising before any charges are added to the account. Also, when you move to NGB the allowance will automatically upgrade to unlimited and you will be advised in advance before this change occurs. Any further questions let me know.

    Regards

    James
