Hi, on Friday I received a call from a eircom agent offering to save me some money. He told me that he'd give me the same package I'm currently on at a slightly discounted rate plus an additional 5euro off for the next 6 months. This would bring my monthly package costs to around 45euro per month. the condition was that I sign up for an new 12 month contract (I'm currently out of contract) I agreed thinking I was getting a good deal.

I later checked my phone bill and see that on my old package my charges are 42.79, so my new 'cheaper' rate plus my 'loyalty' discount will actually cost me 3 euro more per month and I'll be tied to a 12 month contract.

If this is indeed the case I'd like to withdraw from the contract as I believe the cooling off period is still in effect.

    Regards
    Dave
