    Hi,

I'm currently looking for somebody in the Clare region who is available to completely refurbish a Ford 4000 tractor. What I want completed is the following: complete sandblast, prime & respray, padding fitted to cab interior, new mudguards, cab roof, cab stickers, clutch / brake pedals, cab shelf (around seat) review of wiring and install new assembly kit, engine overhaul using agriline engine overhaul kit & new door handles installed.

I want this work completed to a top class standard. I want everything stripped, blasted and resprayed..NO MASKING. If I see spray on tractor tyres etc. I will not pay. I want no half jobs or cowboys. The tractor is a 1977 Ford 4000 and has been with my family for over 15 years so it now has sentimental value. Obviously there is spots of rust on the cab itself however, these can be cut out and patched with steel.

I want somebody who is trust worthy and will complete the job on time. I have about 70% of the parts already bought [SNIP} and intend to start the job around November once the evenings start getting dark. If anybody knows of somebody who can complete this job around this time of year then please let me know. Thanks for your help.

I assume you are willing to hand over a blank cheque for this....

Bad effort at shilling/SEO by the way.

I do up M F and for the work you are talking about and the Finnish you are looking for ,you are talking about a lot of hours and if you have to pay for those hours it would cost you a lot of money, most people who take on these projects do it as a hobby and would not do this kind of work for any one else , If you love this tractor so much do it yourself and you will see the kind of work that is involved

You'll be looking at several thousands for this - basically not viable - only a hobby.

As for the tractor - it can't be 1977 as Ford 4000 production stopped in 1975 unless of course it was only registered for the road in 1977.

OP what part of Clare are you in? I think there is a lad in Crusheen that does a bit of this sort of work, sorry I don't know his name.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.
