Elliott Smith - Grand Mal

    Hey all, I was just browsing google on Elliott Smith and came across a download link for Grand Mal after hearing about it a few weeks ago. Just wondering what ye all think of it? I can post a link for download if ye would like should ye not have heard of it or have it. It seems to be a collection of absolutely every unreleased/non album track hes ever had not including live stuff. Just wondering if anyone else has it or if anyone else wants a link for it as I think this is a great find for any big Elliot Smith fan! The 1st few discs are unreleased tracks then some of the later ones are alternate versions of tracks from his albums. I searched on boards and didn't find anything on Grand Mal so I just wanted to share it and create awareness for it! If this is extremely old news to you then I'll just go back to lurking. I myself have listened to the 1st 4 discs so far, the 1st 2 seem very good with the quality dipping slightly further on, but there are some real gems in there I had never heard of. Well, go check it out! Also just wondering is this a very well known collection? As I had never heard of it up until recently.

    1. Please don't post link's to torrents or illegal downloads. A legal download is one where the copyright holder has expressly given their permission that songs can be distributed freely.

    2. Grand Mal's been doing the rounds for a couple of years.

    3. His name is Elliott Smith.

    OK thats sound, although I'm pretty sure the guy who made it did so illegally didn't he? So that would make all copies illegal as its not physically for sale or anything, as far as I know! Oh has it? Thats my bad then. Well sure even if a few people see this who didn't know about it it can't have done any harm. :)

    It has all his live gigs there for listening/downloading, and seems to be all above board.

    Also thats my bad about forgetting about the two t's, I never was good with names. Oh the horror!

    Yeah, I listened to that a few months ago. A lot of great stuff on it. Then again, I've pretty much loved every Elliott Smith song I've heard.
