Spd>spd sl; saddle height change?

I'm putting spd-sl on my new bike: should I have to change saddle height to account for the change? Up or down?

(I'm using the distance from the centre of the bb to the top of the saddle on my current spd-equipped bike as a reference)

    Thanks!

Possibly. Since you'll probably be changing shoe too, measure from some fixed point to the insole.

so from the insole of old shoes on old pedals at bottom of pedal stroke to top of saddle? something like that?

I have to change mine a few mm's. Downward for the SPD's in my case.
