    Hey,

looking for a few days peace and quiet on my own between now and the end of the Summer. A hotel with a decent spa and walks would be good, not too far from Dublin.

the most important thing though is somewhere that i wouldn't be charged crazy prices for going on my own!

Singles prices are prohibitive alright I've considered buying one of those deals for two - some of them are great value for one - and saying the other person got delayed (...or something)
    Haven't done it yet though...

    Brook Lodge, near Aughrim.

The Spa is fantastic, hotel itself is really relaxing, with good food and low-key service.

Single rates can be had for €125p/n B&B and you may get 1 dinner thrown in.

I would ring up hotels and ask for a Room Only rate - that way there are no single supplements. Hotel's near me that I would recommend would be:
    Grand Malahide
    Portmarnock
    Roganstown
    Trim Castle

Trim looks lovely and is very reasonable - no spa though!
