Another great performance from Fernando but the Sauber's performance mean that there's a few other drivers who are sure to get some votes.....

Had to give it to jenson after a difficult time recently he kept the head down and calm and got on with it. No bull with him speaking directly to vettel after the race. He did the same to alonso last year when he was nearly run off the road at the start of the race

Between Alonso & Button really, and seeing as Button had a bit of racing to do to earn his podium...I gave the vote to him. Great drive

Kimi or Jenson or one of Sauber drivers of course.

Jenson because kept his head cool with Vettel.

Kimi saved Lotus' weekend and got him self from 10th to podium + 4th in championship. Mature racer.

Can't give much to Alonso like usually with pole sitter winning the race. As long as car performs, why would you screw up the win?

I tend to agree, it's hard to really rate a pole winner unless there's a DRS battle involved. Still though, if it were driver of the weekend, Alonso was untouchable.

Nice to see the car living up to the drivers potential, I hate seeing drivers being let down by poor cars.

Tell me more.. I almost cried few times when Hakkinen's mid 1990's Mclaren was so shhite too many times. Raikkonen's too 10 years later.

Was at Hockenheim myself this weekend. The rain on Saturday was woeful and difficult enough to drive in with an ordinary car, let alone an F1 machine.

Alonso's performance during the race was deeply impressive too. His car was very fast in a straight line (without DRS) and on the exit of turn two. He was quick where he had to be and careful enough where he needed to be. The fact that he set his fastest lap on the penultimate tour illustrated that he had kept enough in hand to stave of a potential last lap attack from his pursuers.

As an aside, there was a lot of hay made locally about the stewards investigating the legality or otherwise of Red Bull's engine map. Although eventually cleared to race, it looks like a potential loophole has been uncovered in the regulations, and the FIA will be looking at closing it.

And finally, this race was easily the easiest for access and egress that I have ever been at. Silverstone and Monza would do well to learn from how the Germans do things.

Gave it to Button but both Perez and Koybaishi deserve a mention.

Alonso drove great too but he never really needed to hold off anyone, just keep his cool out front and maintain the gaps. The hard work was done on Saturday.

I wonder how fast Alonso was. He made it look easy.

Great drive from Sauber. Could they have won with better qually.
