Dublin to Belfast by Bus - Translink?

    Hello,

I need to be in Belfast tomorrow evening for something, but I also need to get back to Dublin before Tuesday morning. I am told by a friend in Belfast that the Translink leaves Belfast City Centre for Dublin every hour, over night, and goes via Dublin Airport.

Does anyone if the Translink leaves from Dublin City Centre? If so, from where, and roughly how much is a return ticket?

    Any feedback greatly appreciated.

Bus Eireann / Ulsterbus operate a service every hour that goes from Belfast to Dublin City centre via Sprucefield, Banbridge, Newry and Dublin Airport and the same in the other direction.

They also operate four express services a day but none of these serve Dublin City Center.

Aircoach offer an express service 22 times daily that starts at Dublin City Center that stops at Dublin Airport only before running non stop to Belfast.

Tickets are £20.85 if its belfast to dublin return. In the other direction its a fair bit dearer unless you're a student.

Which service are you referring to? I have a student card, so that shouldn't be a problem. Where can I buy tickets, and where does it leave from, do you know?

In Busaras. Is it a university card or a Bus Eireann one? You can buy a student ticket from the machine without a Bus Eireann student card.

The service is called the 200 on Translink or the 001 on Bus Eireann.
It leaves Belfast every hour on the hour and takes 2 and a half hours. Not sure about the other direction but the timetables should be accurate.

Sometimes this bus can be full so make sure you hop straight on when it arrives!

Aircoach is EUR 24 return and should be faster seeing as it has fewer stops. Might be a bit quieter too.
