    Grosse pointe blank, aliens, training day, mystic river, talented mr ripley.

    even at christmas time its rare to have such a good choice on a saturday night, anyone recall a night like this? Perhaps a question for the tv forum

    You are right there...particularly about christmas, unusual for tv although aliens and the talented mr ripley have been on quite recently.
    wondering if tv is worth paying for these days with the amount if repetition going on

    I watched Aliens last night and honestly, I think it is one of the worst films ever made. It has NONE of the emotional development of the first film, and that weaver chick is very irritating. Its just a very poor film in general.

    Mystic River was also very average.

    In both of those films, the plot holes are GIGANTIC. I almost twisted my ankle stumbling into some of them.

    It's not that great a choice when everything it repeated so often. Both Aliens and Training Day have already been on within the last week.
