Got this phone 2 days ago and its rebooted randomly several times for no reason...switched itself off and then back on again always when screen goes asleep temporarily and plenty of juice in battery
Never had an android phone before so dont know if this is normal or not?

This definitely isn't normal for an Android device.

I had the xcover for about a week to review it and I didn't have any of the problems mentioned.

I'd say you probably have a dodgy model!
This is inevitable because smartphones are made in such large quantities!

Since its new, just go back to the shop that you bought from and I'm sure they'll gladly exchange it for a new one!

Take it back to the store for a new phone, there an absolute piece of **** phone, a lot of stores aren't stocking them now. There riddled with problem.

Thanks guys for replies...brought it back, gave me a new one and within an hour its just happened again on the new one...im guessing if it does it once itll happen again

Guy in shop said he got one from new batch too, rang him and said he's logging fault and will have technician look, might be an option to change 'non like for like'....if authorized!

Heads wrecked...got this one for its durability, bit pointless if the electronics are faulty!

Any suggestions for an alternative if I can get one?

What's your choice of phone (price bracket), is it pay as you go?
