Car Insurance after accident

Just wondering would anyone know how much insurance generally rises after an accident.
I skid into the back of a car with barely any damage but a claim went in against me anyway, so just wondering what would I expect it to rise to?

How much your insurer paid out for third party?
Maybe it would be cheaper to refund your insurer whatever they paid out, and keep your no claims history.
    AFAIK it's possible.

Refunding a claim wouldn't make any difference. If a claim went in, it's on record and the ncb is history unless its protected. It might look like "barely any damage" but you'd be surprised what it can cost. If there is only vehicle damage and you can pay the injured party, that's a possibility and the claim can be quashed, but make sure you get proof if this is done. A signed letter and receipt at least. The insurer asks "any accidents OR claims, so it's still a factor on renewal.

I not sure what was paid out but doubt it makes huge difference as an injury claim also been pursued.
