Cheapest way to travel from cork to the 02 Dublin (Return)

hey guys, first time planning this on my own so go easy on me! i wish to attend the tenacious d concert in the 02 dublin on saturday 20th october. i was wondering as the title suggests what is the cheapest way to get there and back. also was thinking of staying a night in a hotel close by preferably jury's inn as my friend has loyalty points or something.how close is this hotel to the 02?

in your answer could you please include luas/ bus route to take if it applies to your suggested route. thanks in advance, much appreciated.

The x8 bus goes from Cork (parnell place) to dublin (Busarus) http://www.buseireann.ie/pdf/1340978656-8.pdf
The O2 is about a 20 min walk from here or you can get the luas directly outside the station to directly outside o2 (costs €1.60) get the luas heading for the point.
The Jurys Inn, Custom House is about a 15 min walk from the O2 according to their website: http://dublinhotels.jurysinns.com/jurysinn_customhouse
