The floods out here in rural back roads did a lot of damage. In many places the verges simply vanished into deep ditches which are lethal. Some have been barriered off but not all by any means. It was especially bad near Beal na Blath near us and at first there was a lot of work being done but it all seems to have stopped now.

The road at the bottom here is very bad; a long section with no verge, a deep drop and no signs or cordons... just would take one of Graingers log lorries to bear down and force someone to the edge.. I have already lost two wing mirrors to these ******** on other narrow lanes...

Give the local councillors/td's a phonecall and ask them what are they getting paid for.
