    Hello,

On 15th June, at Dublin, it rained a lot.

The chimney of the house I was renting broke, and some bricks fell on my car.
So, I asked the landlord for a refund by his insurance.

First, the landlord told me that I should make a claim to the insurance of my car, and that they would get the refund from his insurance.

And now, the insurance of the car has told me that the insurance of the house was refusing to take the damage into account because it was an act of God.

IMO, such a bad weather cannot be considered "act of God".

What would you advise me to do ?
Can the insurance of the landlord impose me to claim through the insurance of my car ?

    Thank you very much

You will have to claim against your car insurance.

In order for the houshold insurance policy to pay out you would have to be able to prove they were neglegent. If the damage was as a result of storm damage then they will not be held neglegent and will not have to pay out.
