Yes. I've been playing since it started. Its now become a Free To Play game.

Its not really like anything else out there. Its still the biggest continuous game world. The toughest challenge and steepest learning curve I've met after 17 years gaming. The most realistic mechanics, weapon ballistics and armour penetration modelling in gaming. Combined arms (Land sea and air) all in one game, no shoebox maps no rounds just one long campaign war till there is a winner. Campaigns can last weeks to months.

You get shot, you die. No medics, no 20 bullet nonsense like all this MW COD tripe. Engagements take place at realistic ranges. If your side makes mistakes and blows your anti-armour units and tanks in a battle you WILL get hammered. 128 players visible with hundreds more possible in any one battle. Some of the large battles when pop is high are almost like Stalingrad, an unmatched gaming experience.

There are some drawbacks. Its very difficult for beginners. Death comes easy and you'll often have no idea what got you because its an 88mm gun 2300m off you flank or a sniper 600m away in an infantry fighting position. Its not the prettiest game. The scale + visiblplayer numbers + small dev team mean its always gonna be a bit ugly. For me its an addiction and I highly recommend it.

Wow, the ballistics model look awesome, might have to give this a try. I did enjoy World of Tanks for a good while but this seems to combine that realsim with a more varied depth. nice find.
