    Hi all,
I have recently sent my P45 and P50 to the revenue department for tax refunds.
Since i have recently moved abroad I called them to make sure they have the correct address abroad to send the cheque to.
Now I am just wodering whether I am able to cash the cheque abroad since itis coming from the Irish revenue department.
Or is it only possible to ca**** in Ireland in an Irish bank?
    Thansk!

In your situation it would make more sense to get any rebate paid directly to your bank account

I called them to make sure my address was in their system correctly, and they never said something about transfering it to my bank account.
The forms itself also says they will always send a cheque..
Last year they also sent me a cheque (when i still lived in ireland).

You should be able to lodge it, but it may take a few weeks to clear (and your bank may charge a fee). Talk to them to find out.

Can't think of one form that says that. Most forms have space for your bank details etc. The form P50 has space for bank details at the bottom. Bank transfers are the preferred method of dealing with Revenue as they are more cost effective. Can only be transferred to an Irish bank account and it must be your account.
