Im wondering what u guys think, I have a old 1958 Triump Pink Witch bike and thinking would it be worth while restoring it? Would there be a market for it? if so what would be the price range?
Any views or comments would be much appreciated:)

If it were mine (and somewhere close to my frame size), I would restore it mechanically, but just clean the paint and chrome up as best I can. It's not too bad and any effort to repaint it would loose the patina of age.

Value wise, maybe €30 - 50 as it stands or maybe €150 when cleaned up and re-greased and ready to ride.

Don't under-estimate these bikes. They were quality machines and if the headset and wheels are in good order, they will ride a lot better than many people realise. The tip if you live somewhere hilly is to stick a larger sprocket on the Sturmey Archer hub as most left the factory with something like 46/18 gearing which gives a top gear of around 91 inches (IIRC) which is suitable for time-trialling, not for pottering around on a Sunday evening. Put a 21 or 22 tooth sprocket to bring the gearing down to something sensible for a bike of this weight and type and it will ride beautifully.

If you restore it, restore it for yourself. The price you get for the restored bike won't even remotely reflect the effort you put into restoring it.

Looking again, I wonder is that the same frame as Raleigh Trent Tourist. It was the same company by then, Triumph being used as a slightly cheaper brand.

It looks to be in pretty good nick. A wash and lube would probably get it looking pretty sweet.

Hi, do you still have this by any chance? I am very interested in buying a Pink Witch.
