    Hi,

I started the couch to 5k thingy last week and just completed day 2 of week 2 about an hour ago.For the first 5/10 mins of both my runs this week I've felt a terrible burning sensation between my knees and the bridge of my foot,it usually fades after the 5-10 mins but just wondering is this common in starting out running again?

I haven't ran like this in years but I'm not that unfit,I was in the gym 3/4x a week for 6 months up until 3 weeks ago when my membership expired, and I never experienced this pain when using the bikes, leg press, leg curl machines etc before.

Cheers for any advice and sorry if this is a stupid question!

Strange one. Reminiscent of shin splints only they certainly don't go away in the course of a run!

Take it a bit easier for the next session or two and hopefully it will become a non-issue.
