Detaching radio plate/panel.

    Hey, just out of interest, what's the point of detaching radio panel from unit? I mean if someone steals car what's the point of having the panel only?

    It's not in case the car is stolen, it's in case the radio is stolen!

    Theory is the thief will see the panel is missing and rob a different car . In reality most drivers who remove the panel leave in in the glovebox or door pocket and the thieves assume this.

    So even if you bring the panel with you, you may still end up with a broken window

    Potential thief sees an Aston Martin cabrio, top down, keys in ignotion but with no radio so just says to himself, a fcuk it, I'll take that Fiesta instead! LOL! :D
