So Insurance with Liberty runs out on Octavia on the 26th/27th and final DD payment is on the 22nd.

I hope to be changing my Insurance to 123.ie(not sure as they are not keen on modifications and car im buying has non standard 19" rims) when the policy is out via DD.

But question is will i be charged much extra do you guys think or is their a grace period of 2-3 days free insurance switching to another vehicle as some insurers do.

Oh and i cba to read through all my Insurance documentation :p

    Obviously :pac:

Do 123 accept mods at all? I read yesterday on here somewhere they were quite anal with some poor bloke.

Also be advised that Liberty will automagically renew your policy with them if you don't tell them you're cancelling.... As for Grace period, if you're heading off else where, then there is no grace period.

Grace periods almost always only apply if you renew with that insurer - not move to another.

Grace period in terms of free vehicle to vehicle switching, some insurers allow you to do this free of charge 2-3 times per year for a day.

Yea tomorrow is insurance research day it seems, may just use a broker if i have to. Also yea i will be telling liberty where to shove their €600 renewal for a 1.4 Octavia lol :pac:

You mean adding of temporary vehicles? That's a little bit different to grace lad.

AFAIK, Liberty charge NIL and 123 charge 45 quid.

Start or end of the policy shouldn't matter im a paying customer until the 27th

Also when i say Grace period i don't mean insurance after policy ends i mean grace on the vehicle swap fee as in a freebie

Try as many as you can including try some brokers sometimes they can be loads cheaper then the actual insurance company.

Ok, 1 more question, anyone know of an insurer who isn't anto modifications (small things like a remap/upgraded intercooler/CAIS/straight pipe) for a 29 year old with 5 years NCB 0 points

Cheap is good but it's not king.

I want abit of flexability on mods and good NCB fallback/extras on my Fully Comp

Actually just noticed you're with Liberty... They're one of the only ones that will cover mods once you declare them!

Problem is they won't cover an ST if you're not already a customer. But if you're an existing customer they have to give you a quote for one if you're changing to it so you might be better off sticking with them...
