You know the blue one is a year newer right?

The second one has a different grille, different bumper vents and better alloys - this is essentially a "sport upgrade" pack and this is the one I would be going for out of the two!

IMO, the alloys on the blue one are what I call base alloys as in they are only there so the seller can say it has alloys. They are tiny and look lost under the car.

But if you want a brilliant Mazda6.....

Oi! I'm not shilling! I'm just letting people know that it's for sale :)

I think replying in this topic is shill enough, adding in the subtle link is just going over the edge!

Keep it up though, we can have a sweepstakes on when youll get your first warning. :D

We're lacking both critical variables here - cost and condition.

Good point! From what I can see, the grey one is much more attractive when it comes to the finish. That to me would say it's in better condition.

I have to agree with the MM here the upgraded alloys look so much better on the car rather then the tiny ones.

Not much between them other them other then that.

Has the OP actually looked at both of them? Even high-res pics can sometimes mislead about condition. You also generally need to turn up to ascertain the best price.

Hate to say it, but the MPS is gorgeous. I have the 1.8..

    drool.............

Otherwise go for the 2009 in grey. it looks nicer. assuming condition is a wash.

I've seen the grey car, a few scrapes and nics, but a three year old car is rarely blemish free. Overall, dissapointed about the spec level, I see the newer models have improved on this.

Do you mean the spec level on the grey one or blue one? If it's the grey one, I wouldn't be too put off by the fact that it doesn't have leather as the seats are very comfortable as is.

No front fog lights, no bluetooth, no mp3 jack, no spare tyre of any size, no parking sensors, no compter for fuel consumption etc. The nice things in life :D

Fog lights: people here will only give out to you for using them

    Bluetooth: retrofit?

MP3 jack: Ad says it has this. As a matter of fact, all Mazdas from 2008 come with this as standard IIRC.

Spare tyre: It probably has the compressor and trye weld stuff. Saves weight!

Parking sensors: Trust me, they don't work and they're not worth the hassle :D

Fuel Consumption: are you sure it doesn't have this? On mine it's a button called INFO and it swaps between the clock and consumption figures. That consumption thing seems to be broken on mine :pac:

    Grey one for me.

As a previous MPS owner, if the standard car with regards reliability and comfort is a 10th of that that of the MPS then you will have a good car.
Looking at changing to the 2.2 diesel Mazda 6 myself in the near future.

But the MPS.... like a 70 year old man having an 18 year old girlfriend! :)

The salesman was completely clueless as to the features and spec of the car so the fuel consumption feature could well be there somewhere.

Thanks again for all the advice!

The 09 is the nicer Sport model but it is seriously overpriced, your paying a massive premium for the low mileage there. And I dread low mileage cars as alot of their owners don't think they need a service that often.

Here is a similar Sport model but with a little more mileage (still below average for it's year) for €2k less:
