weak transponders on 1w

Can anyone confirm what signal quality they get on any of the digitv transponders on 1w, as when there is heavy rain i get glitching. upc and telenor are perfect with signal quality reading from 96-99% quality.

I have a 1.2 channel master, polar mount and 12 actuator that i put up in april, which is alligned 100%, as i have no problem with any other sat.

I get readings from 86-90% on different transponders, but with heavy rain it drops.

Whe setting up the dish i even fine tuned the weaker transponders but thats all i could squeeze out.

Has anyone else the same problems with rain on digi tv in ireland.

Digi TV should be ok in all weather even on a 1m dish, UPC was the difficult one, or at least some of it, Thor 6 K2 beam was difficult up here.

canal nordic and upc is 100%, just a few weak transponders on upc.
I even fine tuned my motorized dish today and i could only squeeze 1 or 2 % on some transponders.

1.2m dish should pull all them 1w transponders except maybe the ones on the Nordic beam. Here in Dublin I pick them all up on a 1.1 Triax.

Pick up most fine here in Limerick with a triax 1.1metre, including the UPC channels, have installed a couple and never had any major problems except on very heavy rain.

is it possible to fix a black ultra lnb to a channel master, if so do it and see the results.

I tryed the black ultra among other lnb's and the channel master feedhorn inverto flange lnb works way better on my channel master 1.2

From reading on other forums from people in ireland, digitv pixilates in heavy rain for them too, everything else is perfect for me, canal nordic, upc, also all other sats that i can get on my motorized system are 100%.

OK I had everything turned off, back up now, that cartoon is 73S and 52Q and that opens, the others are showing 73 and 56 but not opening yet, a few more steps reqd.! I use a triax 1.1 with a spiderbox and a balck ultra, i am down south and west from you ie clare and you should get more strength with your set up, what
    receiver are you using?

    and its raining here

I suppose im not getting to bad a readings.

I get from 86-90% quality 95 level. on all digi tv transponders, I even fine tuned my motorized dish the other day, got as much as i can get out of it.

    I'm using a dreambox dm 500.

I would not complain with those figures, you should have no fade at unless its a downpour ie monsoon, the tuner in a dm500 is not that good but in your case it makes no odds. the one in the spider is very good and the tuner in a humax freesat pvr is the best but the dm500 works nicely in other ways, i have the 500s.

In real heavy rain i get some pixilation on digitv, but i find the dm 500 ok.
I get from 97-99% quality on all sats, except for 26e where i get 92% and 7e 88-90%.

Also the image im using is the best ive used so far.
I had problems with the box freezing when using the pli image or dark star2, At least once or twice a day when changing channels or goin fast throgh menus it would just freeze and the remote would'nt responde, i always had to switch it off at the back, now it runs 100%.
