Can anyone advise on how I would create a tileable animated gif that looks something like this:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_9iFrp4T48

I am fairly decent with GIMP and familiar with PS CS3, but have no experience with any dedicated animation packages.

Any hints, suggestions or advice would be really appreciated.

EDIT: Sorry, I only just spotted the sub forum for Animation. Sorry mods!!

If this is for a web page you might look at some jQuery animate effects. Animated gifs aren't used so much these days as jQuery can do the job just fine, usually.

Thanks. It's not for a web site, so it has to be a gif unfortunately.
