Sky in another room?

    I have Sky + in the living room and we had a magic eye with our tv in the bedroom which worked for years. Last year we moved into another room in the house and we moved the tv and magic eye into that bedroom...everything fine. Now we've moved back into the original bedroom and Sky isn't working anymore :( The tv picks up all channels from the arial fine, but wont get Sky. We have a splitter box in the attic, but changing the outputs on that doesn't do anything. Thanks.

    Did you move the eye back to the initial room?

    If you move back again does the TV start working again?

    Confirm if it the eye, the TV, the cabling etc, by testing each item where they work.

    I did move the eye back, but checked without it connected and it still won't pick up Sky. All the channels from the arial are working fine, but it just doesn't seem to pick up Sky again.

    What channels are you getting from the aerial? How do you then switch over to the Sky channel?

    Right. Have no idea what's going wrong. I know that the house is wired so that I can;

    1. Get the terrestrial stations from the arial in every room
    2. Get Sky in each room

    At the moment the sky box and main tv is in the living room. We are in bedroom 1, but have been in bedroom 2 for the past 3 years. Before that we were in bedroom 1 for the previous 2 years, during which we could watch sky through our tv. When we moved to B2 we brought in the tv and could also watch sky in there. Now we're back and can't get sky, but can watch all stations from arial. I moved the tv back to B2 again, to see had a wire come lose or something, but it picked up sky again. I have no idea what the problem is :(

    And you're 100% sure that no changes have been made to the distribution system (say an extra room added) in all this time?

    Thanks for your patience...I'm a bit thick. I was wracking my brain last night and it just popped into my head - when we moved into the other bedroom 3 years ago, I got someone out to switch the coaxial cable (I think that's what it's called) to the other bedroom. Sorry for wasting your time. Thanks again
