What kind of solutions are there out now for car tracking? It must be seriously cheap? I have an old Android phone at home, if I stuck a SIM card in that and left it hidden in the car with tracker software that could even do the job. I ask this in the context of all the stolen car threads. Just to be perfectly clear, I'm not criticise anyone for not having a tracker, just trying to highlight options for those who have been more lucky so far.

Hidden android phone with charging point is what i'd do.

My only worry with that is the fire risk, and invalidating my insurance.
