I got a crown fitted about 4/5 weeks ago, after brushing earlier i notice there is a slight chip in the crown, given i only got it done not so long ago im very disappointed this has happened, my dentist is in the UK as it's considerably cheaper than Ireland and the the dental clinic i go to claim to have won numerous awards and are supposedly one of the top dental clinics in the region where they are, my question is, are they likely to fix this for free, would i have to get a new crown put on or can they put something on it to cement it into place.

    Thanks

You will need a new crown, they should fix it for free, welcome to cheap NHS dental work and having to travel to get things fixed, the savings you made will soon evaporate. Awards for dental clinics are related to how much marketing they do, there are no awards for the best filling or most accurate crown margin.

I still save an absolute fortune on what i would pay in Ireland, any other work ive had done previously has been fine but yeah i am an NHS "patient" but thanks for letting me know anyway :)
