Pride Dilution Rates??

Just trying to figure out some dilution rates here at the moment.

1 litre bottle of Pride Industrial weed killer (that would be 1000 milliliters)

The leaflet says 5 litres of Pride to spray 1 hectare. Im presuming that 1 hectare is 10,000 square meters?

So that would be 5000 milliliters per 10,000 square meters.

Water to be used is 90-220 litres per hectare.
Thats 90,000-220,000 millilitres per 10,000 square meters.

How do I figure out in millilitres, the right amount/mixture of Pride and water to use per square meter?

Any help appreciated,as Im a bit confused by it all.:o

    Thanks in advance.

those application rates would be for farmers doing huge areas, it helps then to be very accurate. if you work on a rate of 45ml to 10 litres of water you wont be far off. 45ml is about a third of a small(125g) yoplait yoghurt carton- mango and orange;);).
    hope this helps

    Thanks for the advice.:)

So thats 45ml Pride into 10 litres of water for every square meter then?

Im going to use it in a 10 litre round sprayer bottle and lance to spray an area of around 45 square meters, thats covered in nettles and large weeds, thistles.

Oh and fruit of the forest for me.;):D

rje66 how did you calculate it?

    I see it this way

    P = pride W= water
    5 litres P - 1 ha = 10000sq m
    1 litre P - 200sq m

    200 litres W - 5 litres P
    40 litres W - 1 litre P
    10 litres W - 0.25 litres P (250ml)

    i hope it is clear
1 litre of Pride weedkileer can be use to spray area around 200sq meters,
you can dilute your 1 litre of weedkiller with 40 litres of water,
to 10 litres sprayer you have to add at least 250ml of Pride weedkiller

Well took a chance on the weather and sprayed the area today.

    blackharvest, agree with your calculations.

I got 45ml/10L rate from one of the suppliers, but it wasnt Pride , so could be different rates.

That rate seems to work for most herbicides I use. I generally dont worry too much about the per M2 rates.

Can anyone tell me where I can purchase Pride.
I was told it only available around Dublin and Wicklow, but have still failed to find it.

    Thanks.

    1 litre to 200sq/m ??? I think you're wrong there.
    100mm to 200sq/m I reckon

    100ml? :-)

Would you also not have to take into account the amount of water the sprayer spreads in certain time. Nozzle size, flow rates
