flash player in firefox problems

    after some recent update, not sure whether it was adobe flash player or a firefox update but it has messed things up again. Cant watch videos on rte player, play golf on wgt .com etc. tried uninstalling and re-installing etc, but cant get it to work properly.
    This happened me months ago as well and i finally solved it but of course ive forgotten how i did it.
    Can anyone else who has solved this problem, help me pls.
    they work ok in internet explorer but i want them to work in firefox
