I just gave my daughter her birthday present of an ipod touch 4. It has my apple id on it as daughter has not got an email address.

I put the itunes voucher on it and she has the credit but when she goes to buy an app, it is looking for my credit card details.

How do I get it to use the credit that I put on it. Daughter is off course looking forward to using it but as usual with Apple stuff, nothing it straightforward.

I Could be wrong but I don't think you can have the payment details on your own iPod iPhone etc and not have them on hers if they are using the same account

It's your account that's why it's looking for your payment details. You probably should have set up an Apple ID account just for her. Using the same account will just cause problems down the road.

Anyway, given that you've already added the voucher, you should be able to select none as the payment option when it prompts you.
