Make sure your sit bones take the weight and not your softer bits, with the correct position it can still take a few weeks

Consider upgrading to a more expensive saddle as well.

There are various size saddles, 131mm, 143mm etc and depending on your how far apart your sit bones will determine which size suits you. Some bike shops have a measuring implement which you sit down on to measure this.

Then comes the various brands and models of saddles. Its a personal thing and you may have to experiment a bit and if you dont get it right the first time it can cost a bit. You may get lucky and discover your ideal saddle within your first or second saddle.

The specialized Romin is my perfect saddle and can cycle 100km and feel 100% but another person may despise it.

Even at the start I experienced some discomort but once that bedding in period finished it was bliss.

It also depends on how often you cycle (regularly been the optimum in terms of your ass adjusting).

Oh and it took maybe 200/300 kms before my ass adjusted and was happy.

I had a sella italia saddle which was expensive and got very favourable reviews and I couldnt bring myself to admint it was ****e and I'd spent 100+ on a saddle that was killing me.

I suffered 500+ kms and finally sold it. Km is probably a better indicator rather than time and also how frequently you get out.
