Here in the states, Burris is to scopes what the Rem 700 is to rifles.

I have many Fullfield II and an E1 in 3-9x40mm. I usually buy them for under $200 with the Ballistic Plex reticle and find on a price to performance basis, they are hard to beat.

They are truly a great scope and a workhorse in the field.

I never seen the fourX, but I had a good look through a SixX ant it was very impressive. It seems to be a great scope. Id imagine the fourX would be similar.

I'm the same as ghost on this one, the sixX i looked through seemed very good although it was daylight when i looked through it

Does anyone know how they compare to the traditional high end scopes like S&B or Swarovski? Anyone used both?

I compared a Burris sixX 2-12x50 to a fixed 7x50 Zeiss. It wasnt under the lamp, I just had a gander outside with them, it was night and there were streetlights in the area so I suppose there was more light that in a lamping situation, but it was low light. Not the greatest of tests but as far I could tell the Burris was every bit as good.
Maybe if there was less light the Zeiss would have been better, I dunno. Id say in daylight there would be even less of a difference.
